Hey Peak Fitness!

 

We want to thank you for your ongoing support.  We love our time training together and appreciate all you do to encourage one another to elevate beyond our limits. Yesterday, Governor Herbert asked the citizens of Utah to “Stay Safe, Stay Home.” This is a statewide invitation for all to limit travel and any unnecessary activity outside the home. We want to do our part to support our state leaders, keep our members safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19. As difficult as this decision is, Peak Fitness will close until Monday, April 13th when we will resume our regularly scheduled classes. Starting today, all payments are being suspended until we reopen. We do, however, have some very exciting things planned!

 

We know how important exercise is to a healthy mind and body. Particularly now, during a time of self-isolation and limited social interaction, we need to dedicate time to take care of ourselves and stay connected with each other. Starting next week, we will implement a new gym management software called Wodify. Each member can download the app and create a profile. This will allow you to view workout programming, manage payments, and post workout scores and comments to stay motivated and connected with each other. We will send out an email next week with more details. We are also checking out dumbbells, kettlebells and boxes for anyone that wants to use them at home. We will post home workouts on the website and app for the next two weeks, as well as instructional videos to make sure everyone is maintaining proper form and getting the most benefits out of our home training. The workouts will start on Monday, March 30th. We encourage you to participate, share scores and encourage each other!

 

Also starting Monday, we will be doing a 14-day healthy life challenge. The purpose of this challenge is to help us stay positive and keep improving our health during this stressful time. Each day, we will post an informational Instagram message talking about one of the five factors of health. It will also include a challenge that you can do to further implement that health factor in your life.

 

All too often, we think of health as solely diet and exercise. In reality, there are many things we can do that can have a positive influence on our health that aren’t exercise related. Now is a time when we need to focus on the things we can control. Let’s use this time for personal growth and as a catalyst to help us reach our long-term goals of elevating our lives through a healthy lifestyle! Our goal is to use this time to expand the number of people Peak Fitness can connect with and inspire to elevate their lives.

 

Even though our gym will close for a short time, there are no excuses for not taking care of ourselves and each other during this time. We look forward to connecting with you during the online workouts, watching your progress over the next few weeks and then reuniting back in the gym soon!
